Caitlin hails from Austin, Texas, born and raised! When her letter to attend Hogwarts did not come, she decided to pursue a career in chemistry (the closest thing to potions). She graduated from Southwestern University in 2016, earning a B.S. in chemistry and working in the lab of Dr. Michael Gesinski on the synthesis and application of a novel, gold-cleavable protecting group for alcohols. In her free time, Caitlin enjoys reading Harry Potter, watching Harry Potter, cooking pumpkin pasties, and brewing butterbeer.
