Conner Farley
Conner was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. He studied
chemistry and biochemistry at the University of Idaho,
where he also synthesized coumarin derivatives as part of
his research in the Magolan group. He then worked with
Prof. Christopher Uyeda at Purdue for his PhD, developing
catalytic reductive carbene and vinylidene transfer
reactions. Branching out from states that start with I,
Conner came to California to start his work in the Reisman
group. When he's out of the lab, Conner enjoys teaching,
fishing, exercising, drinking beer, and watching true
crime documentaries. In addition to completing the
synthesis of a natural product, Conner also aspires to
catch his first tuna.
