Audrey Conner, G2
Audrey was born and raised in Tifton, GA. She earned her B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Georgia, where she worked under Prof. Chris Newton on the optimization of a novel Stille-Kelly homocoupling reaction and under Prof. Steven Wheeler using QM computations on a number of projects. She also spent a summer at Yale working with Prof. Tim Newhouse on the DFT benchmarking of a Z-selective cobalt-catalyzed propargylic dehydrogenation reactions. Interested in using an integrated computational/experimental approach to investigate reactivity, Audrey crossed the country to study nickel chemistry in the Reisman group. When she’s not in the lab or at the computer, Audrey enjoys reading, painting, and trying out new recipes.
