Jules Schleinitz
Jules was born
and raised in Marseille, France. He went to Paris to study
chemistry and physics, at Ecole Normale Supérieure.
During his undergrad, Jules worked on the synthesis of
divalent lanthanide in Greg. Nocton’s group and on
the computation of NMR chemical shifts with Pr. Martin
Kaupp. Jules loves teaching so he went through a year-long
teaching training for chemistry and physics and decided to
pursue his Ph.D. with a teaching fellowship. Along with
teaching amazing students in ENS, Jules investigated
nitro-arenes palladium cross-coupling mechanisms and
metal-free photodeoxygenation of pyridines N-oxides as
well as the ML-assisted prediction of reaction yield.
Outside the lab, Jules enjoys bikepacking around and
exploring new areas, the Los Angeles Forest is his new
playground.
