Miranda Kok
Miranda was born and raised in the Netherlands. She obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in pharmaceutical sciences from Utrecht University. She continued at Utrecht University with a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry developing methodologies for the profiling of anionic metabolites. Afterwards, she was a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Liège (Belgium) before moving to the United States. At the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Miranda developed multiple analytical methods for the analysis of inorganics and organic compounds relevant for potential future life detection missions. In her free time, Miranda enjoys archery, running and playing board games.
