Olivia was born and raised in Lima, Ohio. A midwest girl at heart, she attended the University of Chicago to pursue her undergraduate studies in Chemistry. There, she researched nitrone-based Pictet—Spengler methods in the lab of Scott Snyder. Afterwards, she worked at Vertex Pharmaceuticals in Boston for a few months, before moving to sunny California to attend Caltech as a graduate student. In her free time, Olivia enjoys perfecting her crochet and strumming her guitar with vigor. When she's not in lab, she can be found at the beach making use of the great Cali-weather.
