Omar was born and raised in Lebanon and came to the US to pursue his undergraduate degree at Swarthmore College where he graduated with a BA in chemistry and dance in 2022. At Swarthmore, Omar worked with Dr Christopher Graves on the synthesis of redox-active organo-aluminum complexes. After finishing his undergraduate degree, Omar spent 2 years working as a medicinal chemist at Scripps Research, where he worked on developing novel antivirals. Omar is also a ballet dancer and a drag queen, and loves to explore fun coffee shops.
