Omar was born and raised in Puerto Rico. He later moved to Boston to complete his undergraduate studies in Chemistry at MIT. At MIT, he worked in the Kiessling Lab synthesizing sugars based probes for cell wall labeling and in the Gomez-Bombarelli lab studying zeolites using machine learning techniques. After graduating in 2022, he decided to go back to warm weather and moved to the west coast. In his spare time, Omar likes to dance, think about composing music, and relaxing.
