Yoshi was born in Muroto city (Kochi-ken, Japan). He obtained his bachelor's (2008) and master's (2010) degrees at Kochi University (under Prof. Hiyoshizo Kotsuki). After receiving his Ph.D. at Tohoku University (under Prof. Hidetoshi Tokuyama) in 2013, he has been working for Ono Pharmaceutical Co.,Ltd. in Japan as a process chemist. He joined the Reisman lab as visiting scholar from July 2024. Outside of the lab, Yoshi enjoys spending time with his family and playing saltwater fishing.
